  PRODUCT OF THE MONTH

SQUALENE; because it’s part of our skin’s natural lubrication, we know that squalene has a moisturizing effect on the skin.  Tests have shown that squalene not only provides hydration, but it can reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.  This is likely due to its antioxidant properties; squalene is able to prevent free radical damage that causes the breakdown of collagen and elastin. It has also been known to relieve symptoms related to eczema and psoriasis.  The only problem is that our bodies cannot produce squalene in high quantities. Clients have fallen in love with this product and I promise you will too! Visit Faces by Freda for your complimentary sample, while supplies last.

The Perfect Eye Brow Design

Sunday, January 8th, 2012

The perfect brow… I can’t stress enough the importance of having the correct brow shape.  The unfortunate truth is, it can either make or break your face.  Your eyebrows are the picture frame of your face.  Having the correct shape can take years off your face.  Filling them in with brow powder instead of eye shadow, and using a good quality brow brush like our Define It brush, is important.

Last but not least, having your brows done professionally is key.  There is a method to the madness, so make sure you find a reliable artist.  Most often word of mouth plays an important role in finding that perfect stylist, or look around you, take note of the brows you most admire, and ask for a reference.  More than likely, the same name will consistently come up, confirming that is the person for you.

If you are unable to see a professional, follow these key tips, and stay true to my saying, “one brow does not fit all”, your brows are for your face shape, so stay natural.

Tip #1:  When tweezing between the brows, do not tweeze past the center of your nostril.  By doing so, can make your nose look wider.

Tip #2:  The highest point of the arch should end at the end of your iris, and the brow should end at the outside of your eye.

Tip #3:  Final step, fill in with brow powder.  This will create a polished look.
